Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada – Hamilton and Stoney Creek Walks

The Hamilton Chapter’s MS Walk is happening on Sunday April 22 at City Hall in Hamilton and Saltfleet High School in Stoney Creek. We have over 1600 participants and volunteers who come together and walk to end MS at our two locations.

There are lots of really great volunteer opportunities for Social Sciences Reps at the Walk! We need greeters who welcome people when they come in and tell them where to go and register. We also need a lot of Route Marshals to direct people and cheer them on along the route. Since the Hamilton Walk is downtown this year, we’re hoping to have as many of our route marshals be over 18 for safety reasons.

All of the volunteers get a free lunch of hotdogs and pizza as well as Tim Hortons in the morning for breakfast. Volunteering for the Walk is a great way to celebrate the end of exams or to relieve stress and take a break from studying. The time we need volunteers is between 8am-12pm depending on the position.
